
Suzanne Pleshette was an American voice actor, actress and film actor. She lived from January 31, 1937 until January 19th 2008. Pleshette began her stage career. She was a part of films towards the end of the 1950s. In later years, she was an actor with a lot of recognition in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). From 1972 to 1978, Pleshette was a regular guest in a variety of television shows. She also was the character Emily Hartley, which earned her numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1] and Eugene Pleshette, was born on the 31st of January 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer, and choreographer, who was stage-named Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage director for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
