Dolly-Parton

born on January. 19th of 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a poor family that would eventually comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to escape the hardships of life by using her vivid and broad imagination. Before learning how to read and write Dolly Parton was composing her own songs. She got her first guitar when she was just 8 years old and started singing at an Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of 11. Gold Band Records is a small, independent label. At the age of 16, she established herself in the school community but her ambition was bigger. When she was graduating in 1964, she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her first two charting albums on Monument Records. Around this time, Porter Wagoner was looking for an actress to sing for the show he had syndicated to television. Parton was hired in 1967 and signed by RCA Records by 1968, and was a part of the Grand Ole Opry. However, it wasn't until 1974 that she opted to walk away from Wagoner's show because the success of her individual records such as Joshua Coat, Many Colors, and Jolene had outstripped their collaborative efforts. Parton following the breakup of their partnership with Wagoner was the one to write"I'll Always Be Loved" by You and saw it climb to the top spot at No. The first time it reached number 1 was in 1974.
